Installation and Conversion Services

Installation of TransFormation Software on the I Series Server is always part of the service provided by TGIF Software. Not only will we install the software, we also will setup and configure your I Series and can assist you in the network setup as well. When possible we will write data conversion programs to simplify the transition from your existing software to TGIF’s TransFormation software. If data conversion is not possible TransFormation software includes all the necessary programs to manually transfer your valuable historic data as well as the current information.

Training

The Great Information Factory provides in depth onsite training for all facets of the TransFormation system. During the initial installation we will develop a plan that insures that all users of the system will be fully trained in all the software functions that pertain to their job. Our goal is to make the transition to a new software system as painless as possible and the key to this is training. We recognize that you can’t shut down your business to accommodate our schedule so we will fit the training to a schedule that fits you.  Training after the installation is also always available with reasonable notice.

Support

Support is as close as a phone call and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  With the internet, we are never more than a click away from your system.  We are available for the simple to the complex. TransFormation can be maintained by the end user or by the TGIF support staff. We are here to help you maintain your software and hardware systems. This can be done remotely or on site depending on your situation. Soft coding allows the customer to operate their system without continually relying on a programmer every time something changes. Our hardware and software systems are so easily maintained that the need for physical interaction is not necessary. If a problem does arise, we are more than willing to solve it. Because we provide Source code under a License agreement, the customer always has the option to maintain the software with their own staff. The majority of TGIF customers however do not have any internal IT staff to maintain the software.

Customization

TGIF recognizes that your business is unique. While our 25 years of experience has allowed us to build a software system that fits most of your needs, we expect that there will always be some degree of customization involved.   Our software design allows you to use all the programs according to your needs and where a piece of the software does not fit, we will change the program to fit you rather than you changing your operation to fit the software.  As part of the initial process our staff will work with you to determine the level of customization needed. We will commit to an overall price for the software that includes the customization. Once we have committed to that price there will be no surprise extra charges.

Enhancements

TransFormation software is a 25 year work in progress. Our staff is constantly in touch with our customer base in order to understand their business needs so we can add new functionality and improve existing programs. Enhancements are distributed as they become available. Periodically major enhancements that require re training are made available. These major changes are always scheduled and usually implemented with an onsite visit by TGIF staff.

Warranty

The warranty for TransFormation is very simple.  We offer a money back warranty (except for travel costs) during the first six months from the day the software is installed on your server. Simply put - if you ask for your money back for any reason during the first six months, we will return it. During the first six months any program defects are corrected at no charge. Beyond the first six months, program defects are corrected at no charge so long as you are paying the monthly software maintenance fee.

Source Code

The Great Information Factory has always provided the program source code to our customers. This is done under a license agreement that allows you to maintain the programs yourself if you so choose. The license agreement precludes you from reselling or transferring the source to any other end user, but allows you to maintain and modify the programs according to your needs. TGIF does not assume responsibility for the programs once modified by the end user, however our staff is always available to assist you when you choose to maintain the software yourself.
